Retail Store Manager — Madrid

Lead the team, the commercial performance and the daily operation of a LAAGAM store in Madrid.

Apply for this role

About the role

LAAGAM is an independent fashion brand with a growing retail presence. We are looking for a Store Manager to lead one of our teams in Madrid.

You will own the store as a business: sales, customer experience, team leadership, schedules, visual standards, stock accuracy and daily operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will read the numbers, decide what needs attention and work alongside the team on the shop floor to make it happen.

Your mission

Build a reliable, commercially strong store team that delivers an unmistakably LAAGAM customer experience and improves performance week after week.

Sales and customer experience

  • Own daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and turn performance into clear actions for the team.
  • Track the store’s key indicators, including sales, conversion, average order value and units per transaction.
  • Lead by example on the shop floor and make sure customers receive confident, attentive and on-brand service.
  • Coach the team on product knowledge, styling, selling, cross-selling and handling customer issues.
  • Capture recurring customer and product feedback and share it with the Retail and Merchandising teams.

Team leadership

  • Organise schedules and coverage around trading needs, weekends, holidays and peak periods.
  • Set clear expectations, give useful feedback and follow up on individual and team performance.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and training for new team members.
  • Address attendance, conduct, performance and team issues early, documenting and escalating them when needed.
  • Create a store culture that is demanding, supportive and accountable.

Store operations

  • Own opening, closing, cash, returns, incidents and daily operational routines.
  • Maintain strong visual merchandising, cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the store.
  • Coordinate deliveries, replenishment, stockroom organisation, stock checks and inventory counts.
  • Protect stock accuracy and escalate product, systems or operational issues with clear context and follow-up.
  • Deliver concise weekly reporting on performance, team priorities, stock issues and actions required.

What success looks like

  • The store meets its commercial targets with a clear understanding of what drives the result.
  • The team knows the priorities, receives regular feedback and performs consistently across shifts.
  • Customer experience and visual standards remain high even during peak periods.
  • Schedules, stock, cash and store routines are accurate and do not depend on last-minute fixes.
  • Problems are identified early, owned and followed through to resolution.

What we are looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience leading a fashion or premium retail store, or as an Assistant Store Manager with substantial responsibility.
  • Evidence of using store KPIs and sales targets to set priorities and improve performance.
  • Hands-on team leadership: scheduling, coaching, feedback, onboarding and performance follow-up.
  • Strong customer focus, commercial judgement and confidence selling alongside the team.
  • Comfort with stock, inventory, cash procedures, visual merchandising and the pace of daily retail operations.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and working English for international customers.
  • Based in Madrid and available for rotating shifts, weekends and peak retail periods.
  • Organised, decisive and calm when several operational issues need attention at once.

What we offer

  • Full-time, on-site role in Madrid.
  • Direct ownership of a LAAGAM store’s team, customer experience and commercial performance.
  • Onboarding and ongoing support from the Retail team.
  • A hands-on leadership role in a growing independent fashion brand.
  • LAAGAM employee product benefits.
  • Start date: as soon as possible.

Hiring process

  • Submit your application and CV through this page.
  • If your experience matches the role, we will invite you to an asynchronous video interview in Hireflix focused on leadership, the customer and store performance.
  • The Retail team reviews every video and decides who moves to a live interview. Hireflix does not make hiring decisions.
